Le hip-hop is an artistic and cultural movement born in the United States in the ghettos of New York, Bronx and Brooklyn in particular, in the early 1970s.
Hip-hop is an art, a way of life and thinking. Beyond the music with which we often conflate, it is above all a set of practices bringing together an entire community around dance, graffiti, deejaying and rap.
Hip-Hop Month in Uzès, aims to unite and bring together all generations to practice, listen and show a so-called urban culture, which is now part of our daily lives.
A culture that becomes intergenerational in its music, in its dance, in its vision of the world, from the 70s of Jean Michel Basquiat, to b-boys and b-girls in dance, to Grandmaster Flash in everyone's ears.
