What if you went for a unique and fun adventure, discovering the jewels of Gard heritage? Every year, the Occitan Provence and Country of Uzès Pont du Gard invite you to participate in the Rally of the Most Beautiful Villages of France in Gard, a life-size challenge that combines cultural discovery, puzzles and conviviality. With family, friends or even with your colleagues, put together your team and prepare to explore four exceptional villages, while testing your knowledge and your sense of observation through a series of challenges!
A life-size game
Forget fixed itineraries! Here, there is no pre-established order between the villages: each year, the circuit is different, guaranteeing an ever-renewed experience. What we can assure you is that you will travel around 60 kilometers through Provence Occitane and the Pays d’Uzès Pont du Gard, connecting four villages classified among “The Most Beautiful Villages in France” :
- Lussan, a hilltop village offering breathtaking panoramic views
- La Roque-sur-Ceze with its unmissable Sautadet waterfalls
- Aigueze which overlooks the Ardèche gorges
- Montclus, a medieval village surrounded by nature
You will have to reach these villages with your own vehicle, car, motorbike, camper van, or even electrically assisted bicycle for the more athletic! And once there, you continue the adventure on foot, exploring their cobbled streets and delving into their history.
A challenge to take up as a team
This rally is much more than just a tourist ride. Your mission? Solve puzzles and take on challenges in each village to accumulate as many points as possible!
Using the Explorama app, each team must solve puzzles and challenges related to history, heritage, gastronomy, local know-how, and famous people. At each stage, you will have to answer riddles or challenges, which will test your knowledge and your sense of observation. And be careful: a subsidiary question, asked from the start, will be used to decide between teams in the event of a tie!
And like any good challenge, this adventure ends with a Awards in one of the villages. The top five teams will be rewarded with exceptional gifts.
