Located in the former 17th century bishopric, between town and scrubland, the Georges Borias museum brings together collections of archaeology, history and crafts, allowing you to discover the rich past of Uzès and the writers who made it famous. (Racine, Gide).
Uzège pottery is one of the museum's strong points: pottery from Saint-Quentin, production from the Pichon factory in Uzès.
Don't miss the famous Uzès cabinets, painted furniture typical of the region in the 18th century.
Important collection dedicated to the writer André Gide: portraits, personal memories, manuscripts, correspondence, illustrated editions...
The Georges Borias Museum has been recognized as a Museum of France by the Ministry of Culture.
It organizes a temporary exhibition every year.
The museum offers guided tours by reservation, in French, English and Italian.
Visiting aid sheets are available at reception in French, English and German, as well as a (free) audio guide in French and English.
