The Silk Museum traces the sericultural past of the Cévennes and strives to highlight a heritage which contributed to the Cévennes identity from the 13th to the 20th century.
The Silk Museum offers the discovery of its breeding of silkworms maintained at all stages of the cycle (from April to October) in a reconstituted silkworm factory, its ingenious machines and magnificent know-how.
Guided tours are regularly offered and two archive films on sericulture complete the visit. Contemporary textile creation is highlighted with a seasonal exhibition and a boutique of local artisan creators which also hosts the Soieries des Cévennes sales area.
