Musée de la Poterie Méditerranéenne
Installed in a former oil mill, the Museum of Mediterranean Pottery offers you a journey around the Mediterranean to discover, through ceramics, the daily life of Mediterranean peoples.
Two major collections are presented:
– A collection of traditional glazed earthenware pottery from Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, as well as a collection of pipes and terraillettes from the Job Clerc factory.
– A collection of 700 glazed, raw and utilitarian potteries from around the Mediterranean, with various functions, transporting water, cooking food, storing cereals, etc.
The Museum covers an area of approximately 400m² (2 floors, 11 rooms) including more than 1200 pieces of pottery.
Every year from April to October, a temporary exhibition is presented on a theme, a period, a ceramic movement.
