Le jardin des Oules
The Jardin des Oules, 2 hectares, Remarkable Garden, offers visitors green theater, labyrinth, permanent collection of sculptures, restored artificial caves, in a romantic garden planted in the 19th century and recently recreated.
This garden, abandoned for 50 years, was restored and extensively remodeled by Emmanuel de Sauveboeuf, landscaper and botanist, notably with the creation of a labyrinth planted with 1200 pyramidal olive trees. A hundred varieties of trees, some rare, complemented the existing ancient and majestic subjects. Most plants and trees are labeled.
In addition, this garden has a hydraulic route made up of two artificial caves and ponds restored identically with the help of the Fondation des Parcs et Jardins de France as well as that of the French Heritage Society.
From the green theater, created by Frédéric Sichet, landscape architect, located on the hillside, we discover a very beautiful view of the plain and the Duchy of Uzès.
A collection of 15 contemporary, monumental sculptures, most of them in clay, completes the ensemble.
Tea room, parking.
