Self-guided or guided tour of the 12th century fortified Romanesque church at the top of the village of Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard. Church built by the monks of Psalmodi Abbey – Visit offered by the Passion Patrimoine association of St-Bonnet-du-Gard.
Fortified church from the 12th century, built largely with rubble from the Roman aqueduct, which crossed the village. Built by the Benedictines of the Psalmodie Abbey of Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze (Gard).
Some fragments of Romanesque decor dating from the construction are still visible.
Three large, recently restored paintings deserve attention.
Including “Saint Catherine of Alexandria” can be attributed to the Dutch painter Quirinus Van Banken (1579-1649)
