Exposition – Terroir et art contemporain

Friday June 06
Domaine Deleuze-Rochetin 20 chemin du Moulin – Route d'Uzès D982 30700 Arpaillargues-et-Aureillac
Wishing to highlight the synergy between its wine-growing terroir and that of art, Domaine Deleuze-Rochetin invites the Galerie Valérie Delaunay. In this exhibition cycle, it is the work of the painter Olivier Lépront that will be honored.
The Deleuze-Rochetin estate opens a new page in the world of art.
Wine, like art, are expressions of passion, history and know-how.

By building links with players in the art world, the Deleuze-Rochetin estate aims to create a dialogue between drinking and seeing, the pleasure of tasting and discovery, and to offer a space for demonstration and exchange where the encounter between wine, creation and culture is cultivated in order to celebrate the harmony of the senses.
Wishing to highlight the synergy between its wine-growing region and that of art, Domaine Deleuze-Rochetin invites Galerie Valérie Delaunay to imagine the first edition of this exhibition cycle.
The work of the painter Olivier Lépront will be in the spotlight.
Some of the works presented in the exhibition will be inspired by stays in the area and meetings with enthusiasts of the area.
This exhibition will be punctuated by events, offering visitors an immersive and interactive experience. The opening and closing, special moments of encounter, will take place in the presence of the artist, Olivier Lépront.

Olivier Lépront.
French artist born in 1998, Olivier Lépront graduated from the Beaux Arts de Paris in 2023.
Olivier Lépront's painting is an invitation to dive into painting, to leave reality to switch to the marvelous. He questions the ability of painting to transcend everyday banality, exploring the light that emanates from each object, down jackets, backpacks, metal dishes and other everyday objects.
These elements, considered insignificant, become visual pretexts to capture light on matter, thus transforming themselves into emblematic subjects and elevated to the rank of icons.
Strongly inspired by the great masters of the Renaissance, the artist transforms the reflective surface of these objects into real landscapes. Each painting is the result of a process of staging and recomposition of the image in often tight frames. In this approach, the artist shares with the genre of still life the quest for an expression of the essence of reality.
But while still life is part of the silent and still world, his paintings are vibrant, animated, as flickering as the light they represent. If one is tempted to evoke, also, similarities with American hyperrealism for its trompe-l'oeil and its obsessions, Olivier Lépront's quest seems elsewhere.
For him, “painting brings a form of appetite for reality” and his painting, overflowing with a certain gluttony, invites us to re-enchant our perception of reality.
