Exposition – Sous les pixels la matière : la révolution numérique vue par quatre artistes
Friday November 08
Pont du Gard 30210 Vers-Pont-du-Gard
Four international artists question the relationship between real and virtual through works where nature and artifice mix. Their work oscillates freely between physical matter and digital matter. Exhibition also visible on the bridge.
From September 13, 2024 to January 5, 2025, the Pont du Gard Site will host a new temporary exhibition created by 4 international artists: Regina Silveira, Ana Maria Tavares, Mona Young-Eun Kim and Nicolas Tourte. Under the pixels, matter
The exhibition “Under the pixels, the matter” invites four artists
international to question the relationship between real and virtual,
through works where nature and artifice mix.
The exhibition unfolds across the entire site in a route that begins at the Left Bank Reception, inviting visitors to discover the artists featured in the exhibition and showcasing young artists from our region.
The continuation of this journey into the digital world takes place in the temporary exhibition space, like a dive into a futuristic and sensitive universe.
Regina Silveira, Ana Maria Tavares, Mona Young-Eun Kim and Nicolas Tourte present works, including a series of new site-specific productions, that oscillate freely between physical and digital matter, stimulating new ways of seeing and
designing digital technology as an instrument of plastic creation: from video mapping to augmented reality, including photography, sculpture, video and multi-support installation.
Along the path leading to the bridge are Mona Young-Eun Kim's interactive totems.
The itinerary ends at nightfall, with a program of video projections in mapping proposed until September 29 every evening, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the creative and poetic universe of Regina Silveira, Ana Maria Tavares, Mona
Young-Eun Kim and Nicolas Tourte.
