Wednesday January 22
La Réserve 1 rue Nicolas Froment 30700 Uzès
Come and discover the work of Oliver Bevan. For the end-of-year celebrations, the exhibition space "La Réserve" has selected two very distinct periods which, from an authentic print to an oil on canvas, will offer you the opportunity to treat yourself.
Born in Peterborough (England) in 1941, student at the Royal College of Art in London, classmate of David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield, Oliver Bevan has lived and exhibited for more than 21 years in Gard.

Before that, there had been London and Saskatchewan in Canada, where moving from Op Art to Kinetic Art, practicing collage and photography, the imperative need to return to a less cerebral and more figurative expression, s It was felt. But only one key word governs it: “light”. The light playing with shapes and colors, the light reflecting in the water, the light imprinting its rhythm on the canvas. Each series is like a chapter in his life.

Many of Oliver Bevan's works are in the collections of the Museum of London, Guildhall Art Gallery (City of London collection), York Museum and Art Gallery, Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Coventry, Muzeum Sztuki, Lodz Poland, Museum Albert André, Bagnols sur Cèze.
