Easter egg hunts, Halloween visits, and for little scientists, mineral recognition workshops.

Located 10 minutes from Anduze in the Mialet Valley, the Grotte de Trabuc, a geological jewel of the Cévennes, can be discovered as a family, on an interactive, staged and secure illuminated trail, which places the visitor at the heart of authentic nature.
The autonomous audio-guided tour out of season and accompanied in summer, will transport you into the history and magic of this great natural site labeled Esprit Parc national des Cévennes. The interactivity of the control of the lights to the discovery of the galleries and its mineral beauties, plunges the visitor into an underground world
unusual and fun at the same time.

It is a living cave, where water tirelessly leaves its mark on the stone, streaming from draperies in cascades, to the foot of Midnight Lake in a staging of shadows and lights. It shelters a mysterious phenomenon: an army of 100 soldiers at the foot of the Great Wall! A unique formation in the world.

Frequented at its natural entrance by the Huguenots at the time of the Wars of Religion, then by the Trabucaires, highway bandits who used it as a hiding place, it was in 1945 that the upper network was discovered, today developed and easily accessible. .

Explore the different tour experiences that the underground world of Trabuc offers,
An unusual program every season!

*The Double Visit: Relight the flame of the carbide lamps, a joyful old-fashioned descent.
Spectacular! The summer night events “The cave is on fire” by the light of thousands of candles! An artistic and ephemeral lighting of the place.
*Magical! “The magic of Christmas lights” with the re-enchanted underground landscapes of Santa’s cave, to be seen with children’s eyes, in December.
*Historical or scientific, through the proposals of Heritage Days and regular annual programming.
*Fun, aimed at children, the Easter egg hunts and the Halloween candy hunts allow for a fun discovery of the site.

Stroll through these preserved wonders, which make the Grotte de Trabuc an essential stopover during your stay in the south of France. Labeled "Esprit Parc National des Cévennes", the Grotte de Trabuc is part of a responsible and sustainable development approach, taking into account the emerging health requirements related to welcoming the public, to ensure visitors peace of mind in their practice of the discoveries offered.

Our goal is to do “Better rather than More”, while reconciling economic viability, heritage protection and development of the local economic fabric.
The site offers a welcome on a human scale, the experience lived by the client, is done, through a friendly meeting with the staff and the guides and by an immersion as close as possible to the underground environment, which promotes, from the side sensory and emotional experience, an awareness, about the value of the environment and the interactions of human activity.

.The originality of the site:
1- The diversity of decorations sculpted by nature, the crystalline aspect, the colors of minerals and oxides, surprising underground volumes, at every turn of the gallery.
2- A beautiful encounter with the living world and its aquatic spaces, the clarity of the waters and the sound of the flows, the gushing of the waterfalls after the rains, the pools and the lake with turquoise reflections.
3- The room of 100 soldiers, a unique vision of a landscape that is unique in the world and which has left the scientific community perplexed to this day!
