It is a living cave, where water tirelessly leaves its mark on the stone, streaming from draperies in cascades, to the foot of Midnight Lake in a staging of shadows and lights. It shelters a mysterious phenomenon: an army of 100 soldiers at the foot of the Great Wall! A unique formation in the world.
Frequented at its natural entrance by the Huguenots at the time of the Wars of Religion, then by the Trabucaires, highway bandits who used it as a hiding place, it was in 1945 that the upper network was discovered, today developed and easily accessible. .
