The Gardon
The Gardon occupies the central part of the hydrographic network of our destination but also of the department. This important tributary of the Rhone concentrates an impressive fishery wealth. It is formed by the meeting of the Gardon d'Anduze and the Gardon d'Alès, collectors of a whole series of "small roaches" descended from the Cévennes.
The Gardon confluences upstream of Beaucaire, after passing under the Phave Gard.
The Gardon is an essential watercourse in the region, which can allow all types of fishermen to have fun at the water's edge, whatever the species of fish sought: trout, carp, pike, roach, perch, catfish…

L'Alzon
The Alzon has its source in the commune of La Capelle-et-Masmolene, crosses several villages of the destination including Uzes and converges at the height of Collias.
It is from Uzès that fishing becomes interesting. More precisely in The Eure Valley, with the contribution of the Eure source, the Alzon widens and becomes a pretty river lined with century-old plane trees and poplars. There are numerous specimens found there: bleak, gudgeon, roach, carp, perch, pike, rainbow trout (released regularly)…

The Lône and the Rhône – Aramon
A few kilometers from Avignon, go to Aramon to fish on the Rhône or at the lône of the Alfred islet.
The lone of the islet of Alfred is an old arm of the Rhône which was isolated from the river by damming work in the 60s.
It is a closed body of water fed by the water table. The body of water has a surface area of 208 hectares, its banks have been developed thus offering numerous fishing stations including 2 reserved for people with reduced mobility. The waters of the lône offer a wide variety of fish: bream, roach, carp, perch, pike, catfish...

The La Capelle-et-Masmolene pond
The Capelle-et-Masmolene pond is the second wetland in the department. This protected natural site Natura 2000 was developed to allow the public to admire its natural treasures. Remarkable for its biodiversity, it constitutes a very rare body of water in the Gard scrubland.
The pond is fragile, and is subject to significant water variations because it is an impluvium: a depression in the ground which is fed by rainwater. By definition, and by its geological formation, the basin of this pond fills after heavy rainy episodes or empties after a long period without significant rain.
An interpretation trail presents all the richness of its biodiversity and the relationship between the pond and man. On site, a pontoon to access the heart of the wetland, a ornithological observatory at the edge of the pond, as well asa fishing station accessible for people with reduced mobility.
