For more than 30 years, the Gard Gourmand Competition celebrates the best of local and artisanal production from Gard. Our local artisans and producers have done honor to the destination Country of Uzès Pont du Gard winning numerous awards.
A competition to enhance the Gard region’s terroir
Organized by the Gard Departmental Council, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Occitanie Chamber of Trades and Crafts, the Chamber of Agriculture, Gard Tourism, the association Welcome to the farm and Civam Federation of Gard, this event is a real testament to the know-how of our local producers and artisans.
The objective of this competition is clear:
- Highlight the local production and promote its taste qualities.
- Highlighting the ambassadors of our land, true guardians of traditions and excellence.
- Encourage to consume Gardois, a gesture of support for the local economy and the environment.
For this edition, 142 artisans, caterers, traders, restaurateurs and farmers have registered on the site militantdugout.gard.frThey proposed 478 products which were carefully tasted and evaluated by a jury of experts. Among them, 98 producers were rewarded, illustrating the immense richness and diversity of our terroir.

Our local artisans and producers have brought honour to the region by winning numerous awards. The Pays d'Uzès Pont du Gard destination is proud to be able to count on committed producers and artisans.

The Apiaries of Uzège
The Uzège Beehives is a family business located in Sanilhac-Sagriès. It was born from their passion for the world of bees. And this passion is found in each of their honeys and derivative products.
They were rewarded:
A gold medal for their Caramiel
A silver medal for Garrigue honey
- And a bronze medal for chestnut honey
Domaine Tardieu-Ferrand
Le Domaine Tardieu Ferrand, located in Argilliers, attaches particular importance to respecting the land and the vines. Their production is limited, in order to provide all the necessary attention to the wines. It is also labeled HVE and in organic farming.
The estate was awarded a bronze medal for Petite Douceur, a Cartagena that comes from a mutated late harvest.

- Boucherie du pont in Remoulins: two gold medals for the Pagnol pâté en croûte and the boucade gardoise.
- Boulangerie Provençale in Uzès: a gold medal for its cookies.
- Clément from the sea to the plate in Uzès: a gold medal for smoked salmon and a bronze medal for garlic brandade.
- Conserverie des 3 frères in Théziers: a gold medal for the pork terrine with two peppers.
- Cakes and us in Uzès: a gold medal for the flaky almond brioche and two silver medals for the hazelnut and intense chocolate cookies.
- Diffusion Chabert in Vers-Pont-du-Gard: a silver medal for black tapenade.
- Dombry breeding in Meynes: a gold medal for the natural lamb terrine.
- The red bee in Vers-Pont-du-Gard: a gold medal for chestnut honey and a bronze medal for lavender honey.
- La Bombine de Sandine in Garrigue-Sainte-Eulalie: a silver medal for the citrus charlotte and a bronze medal for the chocolate caramel dessert.
- La Pescalune in Moussac: a gold medal for the black paving stone, a silver medal for the seasonal fresh fruit tartlet and a bronze medal for the anchovy and tomato fougasse.
- Anthony's macarons in Uzès: a gold medal for the choco coconut macaron and two silver medals for the pélardon / dried fruit and lemon / verbena macaron.
- Orbis Brasserie in Moussac: a silver medal for Hibiscus beer.
- Clément Ducros fishmonger in Uzès: a gold medal for the brandade and a bronze medal for the rouille.
